Official launch of Fussy Eating Resource for CALD families

Feeding young children can be challenging as they often have small appetites and very definite likes and dislikes.

As a parent, it can be concerning and frustrating when your child refuses to try new foods or to eat what you have provided.

Developed in partnership with Sydney Local Health District Health Promotion Unit, the Fussy Eaters Mealtime resources aims to put the fun back into meal times by providing helpful strategies for managing fussy eaters.

In order to make the resource accessible and culturally appropriate for CALD parents and families, the fun and colourful posters and fact sheets were translated into Arabic, Chinese and Korean.

Today marked the official launch of the very important resources and representatives from the Multicultural Children’s Services team were proud to attend the event alongside members of the Sydney Local Health District Health Promotion Unit, Cancer Council Australia and Ministry of Health.

The FREE resource is now available across NSW for parents, families and educators.
